Our aim is to let you taste traditional Tuscan cooking at its best, made of dishes and recipes that have remained unchanged for centuries.
What distinguishes our food is its simplicity and the freshness of the produce we select from the area, all grown within a kilometer from the villa.
Every day our farmhouse chef prepares fresh homemade pasta according to the age old Tuscan tradition; tortelli, ravioli and tagliatelle are all served with delicious game, meat or vegetable sauces.
Tuscans have an ongoing love affair with their unsalted bread and we dedicate the necessary time and affection to our bread too. The 'bread affair' is at the basis of many Tuscan specialities like : la panzanella, la panata, la ribollita, l'acquacotta, la pappa al pomodoro, la fettunta, la zuppa di verdura e la minestra di cavolo nero. These are just a few examples of the Tuscan bread philosophy and you find them all in their natural simplicity in our farmhouse kitchen.
Other precious favourites of Tuscan farmhouse cooking are genuine free range meats and game which we are raised on the farm: chicken turkey duck rabbit pigeon wild hare wild bore and pheasant are the basis of our specialities.
We also have a wonderful selection of Tuscan cooked meats cured and crafted in the area: il salame toscano, la finocchiona and il prosciutto toscano. If you prefer Pecorino cheeses we have an excellent selection for all seasons and tastes each of them produced within a kilometer of the villa. As are all our vegetables which are picked daily from the vegetable garden, to add a touch of colour to the dish.
We reserve the same affection to the preparation for our breakfasts which are served in the farmhouse kitchen inside the villa or outside on the terrace where the Tuscan sun waits to warm the start of your day.
