Breeding
In the gentle hills of Tuscany, where slopes alternate between golden wheat fields, stands a magnificent Medici Villa, a legacy from a time when art, nature, and labor were united in perfect harmony. Here, under the protection of ancient walls and the warmth of the Tuscan sun, lies a unique farm dedicated to breeding strong, work-ready horses.
The idea starts from an ambitious dream: to create a tough and resilient horse, agile enough to handle fieldwork or ranch activities, yet possessing a gentle and reliable temperament.
The heart of the project is a carefully designed crossbreeding program: a purebred Quarter Horse stallion, renowned for its intelligence, speed, and cooperative spirit, is paired with draft cross mares. The horses graze on vast pastures, where they find a natural environment that helps their physical and emotional development. The result is a medium-sized horse, muscular and perfectly balanced between strength and agility.
The horses produced from this crossbreeding are therefore robust and frugal. The Quarter Horse stallion’s good nature makes them ideal for precision work and for building a trusting relationship with their rider. These horses are designed for those who work closely with nature every day and for equestrian enthusiasts seeking a reliable companion for excursions and outdoor activities.
The farm’s philosophy is grounded in animal welfare. Each horse is raised according to the rhythms of nature, respecting a balanced diet and training that emphasizes gradual progress and mutual trust.
The unique location of our farm, situated in the hills surrounding the Villa, makes it a symbol of the harmonious union of past and future. Here, the ancient knowledge of horse breeding merges with an innovative and mindful approach, capable of meeting modern demands without betraying the beauty of tradition.
