Culinary courses

For both children and adults our courses are fun learning experiences which teach some of the best kept secrets of Tuscan farmhouse cooking. In a relaxed and familial atmosphere our chef will prepare and teach simple hearty dishes which are the basis of the Tuscan culinary tradition. Everything is provided for.

Participants all have a part to play in the preparation of all the dishes which will be tasted at the end of the lesson for lunch or dinner, along with a good glass of wine or two! The menu will vary according to season and what guests request.

We offer four different types of courses:

  • Zuppe e minestre (soups and broths)

    Completely dedicated to the soups and broths of the Tuscan tradition. All guests will be able to try and taste their own soups.

  • Pasta fresca (homemade)

    Everything you wanted to know about the preparation, conservation and cooking of fresh pasta, accompanying sauces and various fillings.

  • Tuscan antipasto, meat cuts and cooking methods

    The ancient cooking methods of "Chianina" beef. The secrets of the great Tuscan farmwives in their preparation of deliciously tasty antipasti.

  • Bread and "schiacciata" making

    A step by step guide to making Tuscan bread and schiacciata, under the strict supervision of an expert baker who will reveal the secrets of this ancient art.
